Water and Biotechnology
Water is the basic Biological molecule without which no life is possible in this planet starting from Microscopic bacteria to the large size mammals of both land and Ocean.

Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary field of science and technology which is well connected with most of the basic science domains.
​
Unfortunately, the basics of water is not defined in Biotechnology and this gap was identified by a Microbiologist and Biotechnologist (Myself) in 2004.
​
Through advanced BioProcessing and Fermentation Biotechnology, Today, we were able to commercially produce several bio-molecules for our human requirements which was reported "Failed to produce within our body" using genetic engineering and gene manipulation inside the bacterial, fungal, mammalian cells. And these invisible biomolecules were extracted and separated in large scale using several Bioseparation techniques.
Considering the available Bioseparation techniques, the thought process of Converting Sea water to Potable water in its own Natural route popped out in my mind
To be the natural route, possibilities from surface water was carefully reviewed step by step. Since It’s already clearly estimated by experts that the simulation of Natural process would be too costly the idea was dropped.
Then came the Groundwater option.
While thinking about the Groundwater, lot of questions came to mind as listed below and immediately I started searching the answer for them from the literatures. It was surprising to see that the basics of water in literatures gets started only in the year 1983 with some assumptions and mathematical comparisons. There is no proper scientific explanation available till date for all the questions.

Being the resident closer to Neyveli Lignite Corporation limited’s Mines-II area, the below mentioned questions were listed out based on the observations from the surrounding areas.

Need for Incorporation
The Water basics have been ruled out with actual, natural, evolutionary, geophysical, GeoChemistry and Biotechnological science and technology, published and looped here in this web page under "My Portfolio".
Hence, the New Water Science should be incorporated in Biotechnology as a part of Environmental Biotechnology and Bioprocessing and separation technology as Earth itself acts a huge water treatment plant with all the natural separation technologies built within it which was being invisible all these years and therefore this Earth Science can be considered as the Mother of all separation technologies used in the industries.

Because of the incomplete status of Groundwater’s basic science in Hydrology, this particular part of BioGeo Technical New Water Science should be incorporated in Hydrology to get the completeness of Groundwater Science and the entire water cycle to move forward with the New Water Science based future water management.
